Резюме
Детството и юношеството са период на интензивна костна обмяна и достигане на т.нар. пикова костна маса. Тя е важен фактор, определящ костното здраве и риска от развитие на остеопороза в следващите години. От голямо значение е осигуряването на оптимални условия за достигането ѝ. Редица хронични заболявания в детската възраст – захарен диабет тип 1, муковисцидоза, онкологични и др и/или тяхното лечение неизменно водят и до нарушения в костното здраве. Ето защо е от изключителна важност намирането на чувствителен, лесно достъпен, неинвазивен и не на последно място – нескъпоструващ метод за ранен скрининг на тези изменения. Дигиталната рентгенова радиограмметрия е сравнително нов метод, базиран на конвенционалната рентгенова радиограмметрия. При него компютърен софтуер дава информация за костната плътност, изчислявайки кортикалната дебелина на три метакарпални кости. Данните, получени чрез дигиталната рентгенова радиограмметрия показват силна корелация с данните от т.нар.златен стандарт при изследване на костна минерална плътност, както при възрастни, така и при деца, а именно – двойно – енергийната рентгенова абсорбциометрия. За разлика от нея, полученият резултат не подлежи на допълнителни корекции. Той се сравнява с огромна база данни от здрави деца и подрастващи, и може да служи като показание за започване на съответно лечение и за проследяване на резултатите от него. Методът на дигитална рентгенова радиограмметрия е използван за първи път в България за оценка на костното здраве при деца и юноши със захарен диабет тип 1 и до момента показва обещаващи резултати.
